Bye 2012.

[yawn.] This year was great.  I loved most of the year.  We did lots of fun stuff.  I'm tired and looking to a break.

Some of the highlights are mosaics the most recent project of room13, camp, athletics, ugly shakespeare, dogeball tournament and animation.

Some of my low lights were K.O, volleyball, rippa rugby, nucomeball, maths and 3.2.1 fun.
PhotobucketPhotobucket To sum it up, I'm nervous about next year.  I hope I don't get lost at tawa collage.

Holiday program

It was a sunny afternoon, I was 7 when I went to a Holiday program.  My friends that I made there Wand I were just playing around when we stumbled upon some old cart chassis.

We sprinted back to tell the adults about it when I stopped in my tracks." hey guys I have an idea." I shouted to them." Why don't we persuade the adults to let us build carts and race them down the hill over there." I explained in a excited tone.  They agreed and we raced towards the building.

When we got the adults on our side we went back with most of the adults to help carry the stuff back and get the tools.

We made them quickly because they were cart chassis.  When we had made them we pushed them to the top of the hill and hoped in one.  We started racing them down the hill to see who will be the fastest.

When it was my turn I thought." How bout I rough things up a bit." I rammed into the closest cart turning it into a derby.

As I was going down a second time I get rammed and turn sideways losing control of my cart.  I duck my head in at the exact same time the cart starts rolling down the hill.

I reach the bottom my cart falling apart.  I stop with my cart upside down I try to get out but my friends were already flipping the cart chassis over.  I get out a little dazed and look at the trail of cart bits from my cart all the way from where I got rammed.  I look at the destroyed cart and wondered how I survived the crash.

Outlook for Someday reflections:

This is my Outlook for Someday reflection.

Something that I learned from this project that
I did not know before was…
Lots of people want peace not war.

The part of this project that was most
challenging for me was…
Finding the pictures on google.

The part of this project I found most rewarding
was… Putting the movie together.

The thing I need to improve on the most is…
doing it on time.

The thing I found that I am really good at is…
Editing the movie.

If I had to do another Outlook for Someday
movie, the things I would do differently are:
Make sure I do it on time. Pick helpful partners not lazy ones.

Two Days ALONE!

Have you ever wondered what it's like to be at home with only your 15 and 8 year old sisters for two whole days?  I know what it's like, here's my recount of those days.
My mum was ready to leave for Hamilton when Kayley (my little sister) was being stupid.  " I'm starting to doubt myself, I don't think you guys are going to make it through the two days." Complained mum.  " It's going to be okay."   I told mum in a reassuring voice.  Just before mum left she sent Kayley to bed.  I went to bed halve a hour after her.

I woke the next day feeling like a slug.  I had a massive headache.  I realised that I had fallen out of bed and hit my head hard on the desk next to my bed.  I got up not doing anything about my head and went to my big sister Dannielle, she slept in our mums room. When she woke up I begged her to let me on the Xbox 360. when she finally said yes I shot down the hall as fast as a bullet to the xbox.

After two hours on the Xbox, Dannielle told me to get off and I wasn't allowed to go back in the lounge for three hours.  So I went and read.

After three hours of reading I was finally allowed to go back on the Xbox but Dannielle was on it., so I went on the computer instead.  For two hours I played Roblox, a fun game that I like playing every time I'm on the computer.

I think I forgot to tell you that when I went into the kitchen my cat Ninja had nibbled on our dinner. But we heated it up and ate it anyway. After dinner I watched t.v until 10:00 pm at night.  Then I went to bed to start the routine again

Our awesome Matariki board

Photobucket

This is my Matariki board.  I'm going to tell you about it.  It took me a long time to make.

We started by painting it black, then we separated the boards into thirds and then we masked it with masking tape.  We delicately drew our designed on the masking tape.  After that we used a crafting knife to cut out our design and peal the masking tape inside the design. We painted our design and then once it was dry we pealed off the rest of the masking tape and we painted some areas black again, cause the masking tape took some of the black paint with it.  So that's how they were made now I'm going to tell you what the pictures mean.

The top third represents new growth. It has a mother eagle flying back to her nest in a tree to watch her eggs.

The middle third represents me with my family as golden eagles and my home as a tree.

The bottom third represents Matariki with three Matariki kites (manu aute) in a triangle to form a Maori
symbol.

Here are some pics of me working on my Matariki board.
